    "M.V.Welcome Home"

is owned and operated by

Orkney Islands Sea Angling Association.

The Welcome Home is Coded (MCA CAT 3) and Insured to carry  a total often persons, including crew.

We hold a list of club member's names and contact numbers so that, if a charter party is low in numbers and wish for club members to increase the number in the fishing party, then these members can be contacted to augment the numbers and reduce the boat hire price but always at members rates.

For further details or to arrange a trip contact

-: NOTE :-

As I may be in areas of poor or no mobile phone coverage for extended periods of time a text message may prove to be the most effective means of contact if you experience difficulty getting a response. In an area of poor mobile phone coverage I can sometimes receive and reply to a text message where a voice call would be out of the question. I will also have the number of a genuine inquiry.

I can usually pick up and reply to messages at some point during the day.

I find replying to missed calls, even calls displaying local dialling codes becoming more and more time wasting as ever increasing numbers are from some spurious caller offering to help with some suspect claim for something which never happened.

Rods and reels are included in the price

Traces and weights supplied by charterer

Fishing or leisure trips are arranged by 8hr, 6hr or 4hr hires. If an angling booking is of low numbers we can try to arrange club members to take additional places (at a club member’s rate) with the charterer covering the remaining cost. The Welcome Home is chartered with one of OISAA own qualified skippers, provided that dates are confirmed in advance. Junior anglers (accompanied by an adult) are welcome and every assistance will be given. Rods and reels are available in the cost of the charter (traces and weights at charterer’s discretion). Sailings are subject to weather conditions and may have to be rescheduled.

Here is the Welcome Home with a full compliment of 12 anglers during the 2005 Scottish Open Boat Championships, a three day competition fished out of Stromness.
