Another weel kent face slipped away out of the Orkney scene this month.  Named Unsung Hero of the Year in 2006, Allan Taylor worked tirelessly and quietly for many years to better the lot of many of the community's most vulnerable citizens.  He will be sadly missed by his large family and many close friends, while Orkney is a poorer place after his passing.  Allan's obituary has been added to the Memorials website, which his work on Orkney's war dead helped to inspire.  It can be downloaded and read using the link below.
