U3A Walking Group June 2018

Twelve of us set off on a breezy and grey day from the top of Scorradale Hill. We walked the path to the top of Ward avoiding the zigzags but rather rough at times. A coffee stop at the summit showed the sun breaking through to the north with fine views of the Ness of Brodgar. Revived, we took the direct route down with no mishaps passing the Rifle Range and the Guide Cottage back to the Car Park at the Church in Orphir Village just as the sun came out at last.
The next meeting will be on THURSDAY 26th July at 10am to walk up the Rendal Hill, meeting at Barbara Todd's house.She has kindly agreed to give us a cup of tea after the excursion.
