I have a copy of this photo that I got from my cousin, Caroline. She told me that the bairn in the picture is her peedie brother, Alasdair Fiddler. So, it must have been 1948 I should think as he was born late 1946.

That's the lifeboat off the Athenia in the background. It later became the "Bottie Hoose" outside Seafield.

GIRL ?? This 'girl' is me. I have the photo in front of me - taken in 1942/3. I had my first haircut when I was aged 3. The white boat in the background is the lifeboat off the 'Athenia' right enough. My father, Jim (Pye) Chalmers made it into the boatie hoose at Seafield in 1947.
