NOTICE OF 2024 AGM

Dear Orkneycommunities.co.uk membership,

Orkneycommunities.co.uk is once again holding an online AGM, which will take place at http://www.orkneycommunities.co.uk/AGM/

Agenda items, timescale, and voting process

 Standing agenda items are

1. Report of last AGM
2. Chairperson's report
3. Financial report
4. Election of committee
5. Appointment of Examiner of Accounts

Notification of additional agenda items

Due to the nature of the online AGM there is no AOCB section, and therefore all items for discussion are listed as a separate agenda item. Members are invited to forward any items they wish to appear on the Agenda prior to the start of the AGM, by Tuesday 22nd October 2024 .

Additional agenda items are to be notified to steven@kw15.co.uk 

No additional agenda items have notified. 

Discussion of agenda items

Thereafter the AGM will commence and discussion will take place for one week on agenda items from Friday 25th October 2024 until end of Thursday 31st October 2024.

During this time amendments to agenda items can be notified. Amendments will require to be seconded by another voting member.

Voting on agenda items

If necessary, voting will then take place for one week on the Agenda items and any amendments notified from Friday 1st November 2024 until end of Thursday 7th November 2024. Members will be reminded of this at the time if voting is necessary.

Registration of attendance

To participate please register your acceptance or otherwise of the agenda items present from 25th October 2024 onwards by placing a comment at the item, identifying yourself and your group. Participation is encouraged to ensure the Online AGM is quorate. 

Each Group which is a member of Orkneycommunities.co.uk (i.e. has an orkneycommunities.co.uk website) has one vote, and is strongly encouraged to use it!

Election of committee

Members are also encouraged to become a member of the orkneycommunities.co.uk Management Committee. All nominations to Committee are to be received by end Tuesday 22nd October 2024, with all member organisations of orkneycommunities.co.uk eligible to nominate a representative to stand for the Management Committee. 

The current committee has 5 voting members, with up to 12 voting members allowed by our constitution. The five existing members will be going forward for re-election. In the event of there being more than 12 nominations the committee membership will be determined by a vote during the AGM.

Members are encouraged to contact the webmaster at any time with suggestions on how to improve Orkneycommunities.co.uk, to report problems, or to request training on how to use the system. Please contact Steven Heddle on 877119 or email steven@kw15.co.uk
