Following on from the successful Winter ramble, we will once again be taking a route through Kirkwall to explore urban biodiversity. Meet at the Peedie Sea end of the Old Bus Station/Powerbowl car park and dress warm and waterproofed with sturdy footwear. We'll take a route of up to 4 miles - with a lot of standing around - to investigate nooks and crannies, parks and ponds. Expect lichens, ferns, birds and trees, so bring binoculars and a hand lens/magnifying glass. There's no designated lunch stop but bring a snack if you like. All welcome!
