Join Orkney Field Club in our event as part of the 2022 Orkney Nature Festival.
We will walk up Russadale where we hope to see a variety of wildlife including wildflowers, trees, insects and birds. We will have experts on hand to help identify the different species and answer your questions.
Please wear walking boots or wellies. There is a good path but it can be rough and wet underfoot. Bring warm, waterproof clothing, binoculars, camera and hand lenses if you have them as well as a drink and a snack.
Please meet at the Stenness School car park at 9.45am, where a minibus will be waiting to take us to Russadale.
There will be a small charge of £5 to cover the cost of the transport. The minibus will then collect us later (approx 1pm) and return us to our vehicles. There is a public toilet at Stenness, and the option of an ice-cream after at Gerri's Ice-Cream Parlour.
