Kayak Club in Blue Door
Kirkwall Kayak Club is in the BLUE DOOR charity shop for two weeks, 7th - 19th September. We need to raise money to maintain our youth development programme.
The Blue Door can sell just about anything, so rummage through your drawers, clear out the garage and raid the attic! Get rid of your unwanted goods and tidy up at the same time while you help raise funds for the club. Have your friends and relatives got items they might like to donate?
This is such an opportunity for the club so please make the most of it.
We are looking for clothes, shoes, toys, games, books, bric-a-brac, really just about anything. Gather your goodies, bag them if appropriate and take them to the Blue Door on Victoria Street, Kirkwall.
If you need goods collected then please telephone John Mowat on 872922, Kristian Cooper on 077082 271108 or Dennis Bichan on 872542.
We are also looking for volunteers to help sort goods at the shop, even if it is only for a couple of hours. If you can help, please ring any of the above.
The Blue Door is a wonderful institution, the brainchild of highly respected and successful businesswoman, Mrs Rita Jamieson. It is a very generous gift by Mrs Jamieson to the community and has raised many thousands of pounds for local charities and clubs.
Kirkwall Kayak Club is very grateful for the opportunity to work with the Blue Door.
