Things are looking very exciting for Orkney's traditional song in the future, with old songs coming to light for the first time in decades. Even if you only like singing in the bath, this is the place to come for inspiration (and maybe even some techniques!).
We have our Project Leaders!

Wonderfully, fantastically, finally we have our Project Leaders in place to take the Big Orkney Song Project forward!
Aimee Leonard, Sarah Jane Gibbon and Emily Turton have taken on the challenge that this enormous project is sure to become, and are going to be trawling through archives and folks memories for old songs that have become almost (although not quite) forgotten! We can't wait!
How many old Orkney tunes can you think of? Loads? Well, how many old Orkney SONGS can you think of? Not so many, eh? Well, we hope this project will change that.
