The Big Orkney Song Project showcased the first of only a (very small) handful of lullabies so far uncovered at their SongShare in Rousay on 28th June. The Project is desperate to gather more local lullabies, as there is a real gap in the record of this particular type of singing. If anyone knows of any lullabies, or even mere fragments, then they are urged to please get in touch with the Project, who will be extremely glad to hear from them.
