Orkney Singers is sad to report that the Big Orkney Song Project (BOSP) is nearly at an end.  What began in 2008 as a project to collect, notate, archive and reinvigorate traditional and new Orkney songs has been a huge success, with over 550 entries to the BOSP catalogue in the Orkney Archive and Library on Junction Road, Kirkwall.

We are indebted to the many friends (and relations!) who have helped us over the past two years, in our first year in running the SongShares, and in the second year doing small concerts, administration or collation of information. 

We hope that you enjoy listening to the few songs that we've put on this website.  If they've inspired you, then make a trip along to the archives for a bit more or come to one of the three free public events we're hosting this weekend of 24, 25 and 26 September.
