On Wednesday 9 October at 7 pm in the Kirkwall Town Hall, an open Football Forum will take place.  This is aimed at anyone who is currently or used to be involved in coaching/managing/playing or supporting teams in Orkney.  The aim of the Forum is to try to get football minded people together to discuss what is currently going on in Orkney and to look at possible ways to put things in place to make it better. 

The structure of the Forum will involve a short talk by Graeme Sutherland (Scottish Football Association - Regional Manager North), an update on the local scene followed by smaller informal group discussions surrounding the different elements which make up football in Orkney. 

The vision is to produce a 5 year development plan for Orkney football (youth, juniors, seniors and women) that will allow the game to develop and flourish.  This is a massive opportunity for anyone with a view to shaping Orkney’s football future to come forward and help develop the vision.
