It’s another busy weekend this coming Saturday and Sunday as OYDG welcome Shetland’s Under 11’s for their annual visit to Orkney. On Saturday three Orkney teams and two Shetland teams will play in a round robin 7-a-side tournament on the Picky Infield. Fixtures are as follows:

11.00 Orkney Green v Shetland Blue; Orkney Wine v Shetland White;

11.40 Orkney Green v Shetland White; Orkney Yellow v Shetland Blue;

12.20 Shetland Blue v Shetland White; Orkney Wine v Orkney Yellow;

13.00 Orkney Yellow v Shetland White; Orkney Wine v Orkney Green

13.40 Orkney Green v Orkney Yellow; Orkney Wine v Shetland Blue

Orkney players are requested to be at Picky for 10am.

On Sunday Orkney will be playing Shetland for the John W Shearer Cup, also at the Picky Infield. The fixtures are as follows:

13.40 Orkney A v Shetland A

The winners of the Cup are decided by the County winning the majority of matches. Orkney players, coaches and parents are invited to join the Shetland squad on the Sunday evening after the match for a social gathering in the Rugby Club between 8pm and 10.30pm.
