Sea Angling Competition – the boats will be out 10am-4pm. To book a space you must contact Bill McArthur (600 381). Everyone very welcome to the grand finale at Kettletoft Pier, the weigh-in, at 5pm
to see the biggest catch and the biggest fish!
Sandcastles and Sand Sculpture Backaskaill Beach, 11am to 1pm,
bring your own tools! Sweeties for every participant J
Kirkwall Lifeboat, the Margaret Foster, will be visiting at Kettletoft Pier, 3pm to 5pm. The Sanday Lifeboat Guild will be selling refreshments and RNLI merchandise.
Fish barbecue on the pier, with Kettletoft Hotel doing the burgers, sausages etc. once the weigh-in at 5pm has finished.
An open-air Strip The Willow (weather permitting) will take place in Kettletoft at 7.30pm.
Homebrew/Wine Competition & Tasting 8pm at the Kettletoft Hotel. To enter, drop off your 4 bottles of beer/cider, or 1 of wine, to the Hotel between 12 and 2pm on the day of the competition. Label each batch with envelope with name inside. Entry costs £1 per batch. Tasting costs £3.

The day will start with an early visit to Start Lighthouse (be at Scuthvie car park for 8.30am). Booking with Rod the Ranger is essential (600 341).
A lunchtime food and farming themed talk by Richard Shearer, from William Shearer’s shop in Victoria Street, Kirkwall will take place in the Art Room at the school at 1pm.
The Orkney Feast, 2.30pm for 3pm in the school hall, will tantalise your taste buds with a spread of local produce. £12 adult / £6 child. Book your places early to avoid disappointment (Liz Brown 600 730).
Following the Feast, the raffle will be drawn and the annual Gardening Club’s planter competition winners will be announced all before the boat leaves Sanday at 5.20pm.
