1400 - 1500 Spring Fair of Sanday Crafts & Produce at Community School Hall, and display of South Ronaldsay Ploughing match regalia and Sanday's model yachts in the Community School Library. Also DVDs of South Ronaldsay Ploughing match, and 'Tilly the Trow' animation by Sanday School's pupils.

1000-1100 See a working model of Garside Railway station c. 1962 at Sandgarth, close to Millhouse

 

1030-1130 Open Studios - Ruth Brough at Millhouse

1300 - 1400 at the Belsair -  Lunchtime talk about Walter Traill Dennison, Sanday's 19th-Century folklorist by Orkney author & folklorist Tom Muir; followed by excerpts from 'Sanday Voices'  presented by Andrew Thompson, co-ordinator of the island's Oral History project

1430 - 1700 at the Community School Hall.......

1430 - 1530 -  'Whassigo' contest - Orkney v. Sanday chaired by Radio personality Harvey Johnston. This light-hearted word-game will be recorded by Radio Orkney for possible future broadcast, so probably not recommended for the youngest children. The Orkney Mainland team challenges Sanday's experts Eileen Cooper, David Rendall and Andrew Skea.

1530 - 1600 - Refreshment interval

1600 - 1700 - Sanday Fiddle Club Concert
