Stromness Drama Club were astonished and delighted to come home on Friday night with the Challenge Cup for First Place for "Shakers", the Orcadian Youth Trophy for "A Handbag" and the Corsie Cup for Play Depicting Best Moment of Theatre for "A Handbag"!

This means the "Shakers" cast head to the Northern Divisional Finals in Brechin the weekend of 21-23 March (alongside St Andrews Drama Club and Palace Players), and the "A Handbag" cast head all the way through to Kirkwall for the Northern Divisional Youth Finals in the Orkney Theatre on Saturday 16 March.

Well done to both casts ("Shakers" - Imogen Kerr, Barbara Scollay, Lorraine Giles and Anna Gardiner; "A Handbag" - Audun Towrie, Savannah Taylor, Lewis Burgon, Hamish Burgon, Jayden Taylor and Oliver Johnston); the director (yes, of both!), Graham Garson; and the production team for both productions of Michael McLaughlin, Phyllis McLaughlin, Colin Paice, Mike Partridge and Jamie Robson.
