Craft Group

by Sally W MacKintosh - 23:30 on 31 May 2012

The Craft Group has had a productive spring session with members enjoying varied techniques including Encoustic Art, Felting, Cross Stitch, Fantasy Embroidery and Teddy Bear Making etc, etc.  We had our last meeting today (Moira is taking a well deserved break for June and July).  It was like the last day of school with lots of laughs and mischief!  One member (who shall remain nameless) produced her husband's best "BARBOUR" jumper which she'd confessed to shrinking in the washing machine by mistake!  This is a well known and practised technique in felting circles so you can imagine the plans we have for this now perfectly miniaturised garment!!  Conversation as ever was entertaining, enlightening and hilarious.  Our sooth members were educated in the merits of chaffy and flooer secks!!!  Look it up in "The Orkney Dictionary"!
Our thanks go to Moira for her endless patience, talent sharing and hospitality.
Sal
