Hello

Two of us had a very pleasant walk from the Orphir road to Waulkmill bay across some fields covered with angelica and tall grasses.. As usual, lots of flowers, many of them moving into their seed bearing states, but many of them still having a few blooms. Some of the more unexpected ones were devils bit scabious, yellow rattle and self-heal. We had fun indentifying rough hawk's beard and cat's-ear.We watched insects enjoying ragwort - farmers bane, insect heaven. We also admired the colour and stature of seed ripening dockens - gardeners would rather they stayed in the wild! Small blue butterflies and stone chats added moving colour and sound and the sun shone. What more could one want?
