by Unknown - 18:00 on 19 February 2014
Last week Yes Orkney took the case for Scottish independence to Kirkwall as part of our ongoing "Conversation with Yes" tour. In case you missed us, the following video shows a presentation made by Ian Carse in the St. Magnus Centre on Tuesday the 11th of February.
In addition to the wider case for independence, Ian addresses specific issues pertaining to Orkney. The talk is followed by a question-and-answer session.
In the first week of March Yes Orkney will be in Stromness. If you want to drop in and chat about the issues surrounding Scottish independence, we will be having an open day on Saturday the 1st of March from 10am to 3pm, in Stromness Community Centre.
The next Yes Orkney presentation will be given by Fiona Macinnes on Wednesday the 5th of March at 7.30pm in Stromness Community Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of where in Orkney you live.
Also note that Stromness Debating Society will be debating the question "Should Scotland become an independent country" on Monday the 3rd of March, in Stromness Town Hall. Doors open from 7pm. In what promises to be an interesting debate, John Aberdein will be representing Yes Orkney, and Liam McArthur Better Together.
