1.Welcome

by Steven Heddle - 23:00 on 23 October 2024

AGM Update: no amendments have been notified, so voting is not necessary, the recommendations have been passed, and the committee reappointed. Thanks to all who participated.

PLEASE REGISTER YOUR ATTENDANCE

Welcome to our  online AGM. We'd appreciate if you could add any comments or suggestions regarding the process of the Online AGM in the comments section for this item.

Every visitor to this page is requested to leave a comment including their name and group so we can record attendance.

Process

Items notified to the agenda will carry a recommendation. Any amendments must be notified in the Comments to that item. Both the recommendation and amendments will require a proposer and seconder to be valid. This is done through the comments facility. If there are no amendments the recommendation is approved. If there are amendments to an item it will go to the vote.

Note that comments are moderated, so will not appear immediately.

Key dates

Note once more the key dates for the 2024 AGM:

Amendments to agenda items and their recommendations are to be notified and discussed in the week up to Thursday 31st October 2024. Amendments will require to be seconded by another voting member. This is to be done through the comments section for the item.

No voting takes place until after then to allow discussion to conclude. The voting then will take place if necessary in the following week, i.e. from 1st to 7th November 2024. Each group with an Orkneycommunities website has one vote.

Again, this vote will be recorded in the comments section for the item.

The AGM closes and votes are counted after 7th November 2024.

Results will be notified afterwards.

Hi Steven. I visited the AGM several days ago and thought had left a "valid message" to record doing so. Presume must have "got it wrong", but hope this one works.
Regards, Brian on behalf of Kirkwall RBL.
