On Monday 12th October the Royal Navy mine hunter HMS Bangor visited the wreck site of the eighth HMS Vanguard in Scapa Flow.  Divers placed a new ensign and wreath on the wreck.  Lieutenant Commander Peter Noblett attached a wreath dedicated to the 843 officers and men who died when HMS Vanguard was destroyed to the Vanguard buoy.  Senior Naval Officer Orkney Islands, Gordon Ivol,  kindly passed on the photos that can be seen using the link below.
