Kirkwall resident Roger Robson has written several short stories.  One of these, The Goatherd, has been published as an ebook and can be downloaded from Amazon's Kindle Store using the link below.  The book is loosely based on the author's military experience while serving during the 1955-1959 Cyprus Emergency.  A total of 371 British servicemen lost their lives during that unrest on the (still divided between Greece and Turkey) Mediterranean island.  Roger has kindly donated the profits from The Goatherd to the Royal British Legion, Scotland.
