A good photo of Sergeant John George Spence, who was killed on 25th March 1918 serving in France with the Highland Light Infantry, has been added to the Kirkwall section of the website.  Cathleen Spence provided the photo of her husband's uncle.  She wrote an article about John George Spence for the latest issue of the Orkney Family History Society magazine, Sib Folk News, which can be downloaded as a pdf file using the link below.
