The weather had cleared to fine and warm, when Kirkwall's Broad Street paid host at lunchtime today to a brief service paying tribute to Britain's Armed Forces.  Members of local veteran and serving armed force units paraded to hear short speeches from Orkney's Lord Lieutenant, the OIC Vice Convener and Major Griffin of the British Army.  A couple of photos and brief description of the event can be downloaded as a web page using the link below.
