Today is the centenary of the death from typhoid fever in France of Caleb Walter of Stenness.  John Copland kindly arranged to obtain a good photo of Caleb, in his Seaforth Highlanders uniform, from his great nephew, Jack Walter.  It has been used, with information from the War Diary of 2nd Seaforth Highlanders, to complete a page biography of Caleb's sadly short life.  It can be read as a pdf from the Stenness section of the website, or downloaded direct using the link below.
