There were three days during the Great War when a dozen Orcadians died in the fighting. Kirkwall Royal British Legion arranged a short remembrance parade at Kirkwall War Memorial this morning to mark the centenary of the second day, 9th April 1917.  A web page with a photo and short description of the event, including the list of names of the dozen soldiers who died, can be seen using the link below.
