Today is the centenary of the death during the Battle of Passchendaele of Jim Scott.  Jim was born in Sanday and spent his childhood there.  His family moved to St Andrews, where Jim worked as a ploughman until he joined the Army under the Derby Scheme.  His biography has been added to the Sanday and St Andrews sections of the website as a pdf, which can also be downloaded direct using the link below.
