We now meet in the Marwick room of the Kirkwall library-each Friday at 10 a.m.

We are very happy to report that we have outgrown the room in our own homes-

and the library have been very helpful.

Here follows a few of the words new to (some of us) that we have encountered in recent games-

dink=neatly dressed

scran=food

favus=skin complaint

trig=neat or spruce

chave=dialect term "I have"

coom=waste material

fand=try

bate=to violently jump from a perch

feeb=contemptable person

spall=splinter or chip

dunt=strike or hit

soke=right to hold a local court

sobole-underground stem

lehua-Hawaiin flower

devon=pressed meat

Because we now have more space-we welcome anyone who wishes to join us-

I should add that not every one attends  every week-
