Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

Orkney Norway Friendship Association (ONFA) received their well-deserved Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services at a reception hosted by Council Convener, Harvey Johnston in the Council Chamber today.

The award was bestowed on behalf of the Queen by Lord Lieutenant Bill Spence and received on behalf of the Association by ONFA’s Chairwoman, Ishbel Borland. ONFA recently reached their 40th Anniversary year and are now looking forward the next 40 years of supporting friendship and twinning.
