The ever popular Northern Counties competition sponsored for the fifth year by Orkney Aggregates takes place on Saturday. This year sees Ross County’s Under 12’s squad returning to defend the trophy they won on their first entry into the 7-a-side tournament last year. In this year’s competition County will be joined by Premiership neighbours Inverness Caley Thistle as well as Caithness and Shetland. A total of 10 teams including two from Orkney will participate in two groups of 5 with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals. The competition kicks off at the Picky Infield at 11am on Saturday with the final due to be held at 2.40pm. The full fixture list is available HERE.
