Household Item Collections
Orkney Zerowaste are currently trialling a free Friday home collection service for items in Kirkwall, Stromness and West Mainland.
We can collect:
- Small furniture items (e.g., bedside tables, chairs, folding tables).
- Garden furniture, equipment, or tools (e.g., lawnmowers, pots).
- Bric-a-brac collections.
- Items must be of a size or quantity to make collection and resale viable. This will be decided by Orkney Zerowaste during the booking process.
Orkney Zerowaste will use the profits from reselling items to fund the Grant Scheme, which supports projects associated with waste recycling, reuse, repurposing and reduction across Orkney.
We cannot collect:
- Large furniture items (e.g., sofas, big armchairs, Welsh dressers).
- White goods or fabrics.
