Well what can we say - apart from the biggest Thank You to every single person who helped make this happen. We're still counting money, but will let you know as soon as we do how much we've all raised for the Orkney Riding Centre - it's been a fabulous team effort with everyone working together for one goal.
It's always dangerous to name people in fear of missing folk out, however we're going to brave it and give it a go, and if we have missed your name off please don't take offence, it's just a job to keep up and mind oan.
First to our judges Rhianna Gilmour and Jane Barry for giving up their weekend to come to Orkney, we really appreciate it, and to NorthLink Ferries for the discounted fare.
To Kim Hamilton for hosting the judges and being WH Steward.
Andrew Cole for being the main organiser and dealing with all the entries, programmes, sponsors, and everything else inbetween.
Stewards: Karen Greaves, Joyce Rendall, Kathryn Wood, Katie Lawrie, Caroline Foulis, Hellie Foulis
Kitchen: Orkney Branch of the Pony Club for covering Friday night - Rachael Maclean and Carole Linklater. And to Angela Dougherty for taking on Saturday daytime and evening kitchen - not an easy task, ably assisted by Gemma Leslie, Shona Barnett, Sharon Wylie.
To the The Dounby Butcher for donating burgers, sausages and bacon, and to all the folk who made such fantastic food - soups, chilli, curry, fajitas, sausage rolls, scones, meringues, cakes, tray bakes, doodlebugs and everything else including Orkney Ice Cream, we really do appreciate it and sorry we can't name you all - and for all the fabulous raffle donations as well, it was certainly a good fundraiser!
To the folk who dressed the arena so well - Sharon Nixon, Sonja Marwick, Gemma, Joyce & co, and to those who took it down again, and also to Sharon for the beautiful flower displays for the championship. And a very important but often forgotten job - sweeping up, tidying and mopping the floor - thanks Karen G!
And to Carly Brodie Photography for being there to take photos, keep an eye on her page for when she gets them uploaded, and remember to message Carly to buy your pictures (rather than sharing watermarked ones)
