An Update on the U3A Music Group
who met on Monday-the 6th July-We meet the first Monday morning of the month-
Our theme was "memory"-and it was a special meeting-including music referring to memory or music involving our memories.
A selection of our choices contains-
Nana Mouskouri-singing-Try to Remember,
Toccata in C minor,
memories of a church going youth,
Clifford Curzon-Piano Conceto-robins being ringed in early school memories,
James Galway-Annies song- a member remembering him playing it here in Orkney
Bryn Terfen singing David of the Whire Rock,
Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring-played at her wedding in Western Australia,
Yesterday-sung by ay Charles,
Barber"s setting of a summer evening in Knoxville,
Kathleen Ferrier
