Scrabble Group - Nov 2016

Just a wee update on the U3A scrabble group which continues to note new words (to some of us)

The trouble is we don't  seem  to remember them as they do not seem to come into everyday conversation!

Here are a few + meanings-

Scute= horny plate on armadillos

Kex=a plant

Poco=little

Mudge=speak vaguely

Loir=large dormouse

Drago=lizard

Moit=mote

Mawn=animals mouth

Reen= a ditch

Brome(s)=type of grass

Aue=maori exclamation

Doit=copper coin

Shend=put to shame

Ree(s) =Scots enclosure

Ayin=16th letter  Hebrew  alphabet

Feen=Irish word  for man

and

Whid=to move quickly
