U3A Walking Group - May 2019 (1)

by Tim Wright - 22:37 on 02 May 2019

Eleven of us set off in a fresh northerly wind to walk around the circular walk at the Bu Round church. While nice and dry underfoot initially, a shower caught us before Gyre Wood. We probably would have made the shelter in time if we hadn't gone off towards Swanbister on the cliff path looking for a Raven's nest.

A short break in the woods was enlivened by cakes from Sally in celebration of her birthday. The sun came out in time for a group photo with the Bluebells and then it was back to the cars through the hedges of Gorse in full yellow glory and that distinctive coconut smell in our nostrils.

The next walk will be on Friday 24th May, earlier than planned, but a lot of the group will be in Sutherland for a couple of days the following week with Photo Group 1. Further instructions as to where will be passed on nearer the time as to place and time.

Keep moving, Tim.
