Representatives of the KDDL committee presented charity cheques totalling £2500.

Kirkwall RNLI and the Fishermen’s Mission received £850 each from money raised at the Davie Cooper Memorial Darts this year, and the season when covid stopped play.

New local cancer support charity Orkney Prostate Awareness received £800, raised at the Steven Flett Memorial Darts and Tattie Bogle Shield at the annual trophy presentation held by the men and ladies leagues. Teams, individuals and the league also contributed extra money to reach such a fantastic total.

Mike Cooper from Kirkwall RNLI and Ken Amer from OPA accepted the cheques. Fishermen’s Mission officer Jackie Dodds was unable to attend but sent her grateful thanks for the very generous donation. Ken and Mike also thanked everyone for such fantastic support.
