UPDATES FOR THE SEASON AHEAD.

Following the KDDL AGM the committee for the season ahead are: President R.Norquoy, vice-president K.Sarling, treasurer D. Henderson, secretary B. Moar. Committee: C. Taylor, I.Linklater, R.Polson, M.Shearer, R.Stanger.

Other items discussed and agreed included that teams in both the A&B Leagues are now permitted to sign 8 players, this should help to avoid games being postponed throughout the season. Please inform secretary Brian Moar of names and proof of signing.

It was agreed that B teams will play twice, home and away, but in the A league, teams will play each other three times due to less teams in the league.

Promotion/relegation will be 2 teams up, 2 teams down.

In a last minute change in circumstance, Shapinsay, who have entered the league, said that they would be unable to fulfil their league fixtures due to the boat service on league nights being withdrawn. The team will therefore be unable to fulfil league fixtures and will not take part as a team in the B league. However, it was unanimously agreed, following discussion at the AGM, to allow registered players from Shapinsay to play in cup competitions, including team cups, if they are able to attend, as the boat service runs on a Friday. This was, it was agreed, a one off for the season, given the unusual situation the team found themselves in, following being registered to play in the KDDL.

Games v West and Shetland A & B are planned for the season ahead, with the usual ranking points events throughout the year.

ALL TEAMS MUST BE PAID UP BY SEPT 4.
