Orkney Championships 2025
The Orkney Championships took place in the Pomona Inn, Finstown, on Friday night.
KDDL winners The Untouchables took on WMDA league champions Pomona 1 in the team match.
The Untouchables were never behind in the game going 5-0 up, and by half time it was 6-3. The second half saw them run out winners 13-5 to win the title.
The team consisted of Brett Dickinson (captain), Billy Ward, Robbie Stanger, Ian Linklater and Craig Taylor with Gary Wilson (from second placed side Exiles) stepping into the side to make up a team of six.
The men's doubles title went to the West with Derry Sinclair and Gary Chalmers beating Stevie Garner and Gary Wilson 3-1 to win the title for the first time.
 
The mixed doubles saw the West’s Mal Reid and Lorraine Sinclair beating Kevin and Shona Gray 3-1.
 
The Men's Singles saw Kevin Gray taking on Andrew Seator. Kevin’s fantastic high standard of play saw him run out winner 3-0 with a 12 dart leg with a 100.2 average, which ensured he retained the trophy for another year.
