Next week sees the start of the new season of the Kirkwall and District Darts League. A full ‘A’ and ‘B’ League programme of 11 teams in the Williamson’s ‘A’ League and 12 in the Williamson’s ‘B’ League will take part.
Both record numbers of teams since the leagues split in two, only when it was a single league system were there more teams. Are there any teams out there who can challenge the Legion and Untouchables for the ‘A’ title? Both teams are unchanged since last year, while some of the other teams have changes, and how will the teams who have moved up fare? Will any of the new teams throw up surprises – only time will tell!
Don’t forget to record all 180s scored and checkouts of 100 and over – all names on the back of scorecards. Registration fees are now due, with one registration book still to come in.
