UPDATE: The tables for the Tennents Orkney Darts Classic sold out by 11am this morning. Tiered seating tickets go on sale on Saturday, April 14.
The Tennents Orkney Darts Classic is due to be held on September 1 this year and will once again see eight of the biggest names in professional darts travel to the county.
The 2012 will follow the same format as last year, with the eight pro’s — five of whom were part of last year’s inaugural event — taking on eight local qualifiers.
The eight professionals are Raymond Van Barneveld, James Wade, Mark Webster, Co Stompe, Vincent Van Der Voort, Arron Monk, John Henderson and Simon Whitlock, who won last year’s competition.

Event organiser is Neil Stevenson.The KDDL are delighted to once again be involved by running the qualification events. They will take place in the Kirkwall Masonic on May 18, Stromness Golf Club, May 25, Commodore, June 1, Kirkwall Legion June 8, 7.30pm start.
Tickets can be reserved this morning, Thursday 15th March, by calling 872239 or emailing neil@groovesrecords.co.uk. Prices are £75 per ticket at priority tables; £60 per ticket at standard tables and £45 per ticket for tiered seating, and tables are available in blocks of eight or nine.
Individual table seats will be sold with the tiered seating on Saturday, April 14, Mr Stevenson added.
The event is open to everyone aged 14 or over, although 14-17-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.
