25 players attended the 46th AGM of the Kirkwall & District Darts League. That number is down on last year, but not by many.

There is also a record entry of teams for the new season, with 23 in — three up on last year, with two new teams — the Nomads and Legion Arrows — and the return of the Sands ‘2’.

It was decided to leave Quoyburray ‘B’ in the ‘A’ league, making 11 teams, with the remaining 12 forming the ‘B’ league.

There is no change in the committee for the new season. The only change in the league format is that there will be two teams relegated from the ‘A’ league and two teams promoted from the ‘B’ league.

It was also proposed that the annual East v West be changed from late November to later on in the season, but we haven’t spoken to the West yet.
