The season finally starts this week, with the first two cups — one for ‘A’ players and one for ‘B’ players. This continues next Monday with the Spiers Cup, the first combined cup for ‘A’ and ‘B’ players. It is for teams of four, and will be played in the Legion Club, with a 7.30 p.m. start.

Then, it’s on to the first league games, once again sponsored by Williamson’s, who will also supply the shirts for the Shetland game next year. A big thank-you to Ally Flett for his support once more.
With the season underway, entry fees are now due and must be paid by the end of October or points will be deducted.

There will be a committee meeting on Wednesday, September 19, at 8 p.m. in the Masonic Club, Kirkwall.
