Two great wins for the K-DDL teams over the water in Wick as they took on the Caithness ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams.

The ‘A’ team had a great 11-9 win — they were 5-1 down at one stage.

The ‘B’ boys were never behind and won 12-6, so both trophies were retained.

In the game Ivan Leslie had six 180s and won the man of the match award.

The ladies lost 11-9.

In the Williamsons ‘A’ League Sanday top the league with full points after a 9-3 win over the Untouchables.

The Legion got back on the winning trail with a 10-2 win over Untouchables ‘A’.

The top game saw the Golf Club and the Commodores share the points in a six-all draw.

In the Williamsons ‘B’ League only two teams have full points.

The Murray Arms are in top spot on game difference, after their 10-2 defeat of the Motorhoose, and St Ola had a good 8-4 win out in Shapinsay.

There was also a first win for new boys, the Masonic 9-3 out in Tankerness. Also reaping their first win were the Bilco Boys with a victory against the Muppets.

The Shore won 8-4 against Legion Arrows. Maximum 180s came from Jim Brown, Gordon Rendall, Leigh Shearer, Keith Brumpton, Billy Ward, Fred Tait, Michael Muir Jnr, Michael Moodie, Craig Taylor, Derek Firth, Grant Harrold, Edrian Skea, Derek Manson, Gary Peace, Thorfinn Eunson and George Low; three from Robbie Stanger and Kevin Gray; and four from Stevie Linklater.

High checkouts of 101 and 104 came from Kevin Gray; 101 and 116 from Fred Tait; 105 to Stevie Linklater; Jimmy Miller with a 119 and 127 to Keith Bain. Bruce Moar had a 177.
