Things are looking very exciting for Orkney's traditional song in the future, with old songs coming to light for the first time in decades. Even if you only like singing in the bath, this is the place to come for inspiration (and maybe even some techniques!).

Well, we've done all our SongShares on the Mainland and have now started to move out towards the isles. Oh dear..! Lots of time spent on boats. Not particularly conducive to a good singing voice, all that leaning over the side seeing your breakfast being despatched. We'll need to try and think positively!
We're overnighting to Westray, Papay and North Ronaldsay so that's going to be a real hoot. Because we have so much more time, the concert part may be a bit longer as it's likely to be on the Saturday evening. Fab! Hopefully us committee types will get to sing along. We're like the backing singers... think less Pips and more Worzels... ah, we do our best!
Dunno who the accompanying musicians are yet (will probably find out when we see the faces on the boat), but it's bound to be good! See you all soon!
