Orkney Talking Newspaper would like to thank the people who donated goods for the stalls and prizes for the raffle, the volunteers for their hard work - a special thanks to Karen Esson and her teams for selling so many tickets in the Dounby Co-op on 16 May; they made £428.05 - and finally, thanks to all the people who attended the Coffee Morning on Sat 18 May.

USB MEMORY STICK PLAYERS

We have two of these USB memory stick players in the office for trial.  If any of our listeners would like to explore this option further one of our volunteers would deliver the player (and the recording from that week on a USB memory stick) and show you how to use the machine.  You will then receive your recordings on a USB memory stick as well as your usual CD for the following month.  When your month’s trial is up a volunteer will pick up the machine and memory stick and a questionnaire about your experience of using the machine will be filled in.  If trying out one of these players sounds interesting please get in touch.  Leave a message for our coordinator on 873166 (Orkney Library & Archive) or email: orkneytalkingnewspaper@googlemail.com .
