Well it's over for another year and what a great day we had. From the moving ceremony at the graveside when a Norwegian lady laid flowers on the grave of her Uncle, to the fun Tog when we were joined by Captain, crew and passengers of the Norwegian cruise ship the Fram. Then came the entertainment from the Town Brass band, Kirkwall city Pipe band, and children from several local schools.

The concert with music from Orkney Traditional Music Project in a packed cathedral was appreciated, and then it was time for a break ! The ONFA dinner and dance was very well attended with about 90 tickets sold, and we enjoyed a superb buffet made by the staff of the Community centre. This was  followed by a superb guest appearance by "Orkney Rocks" a fairly newly established singing group of over 40 members.

Kenny Ritch and his band took over then for a time of dancing for those who still had the stamina to move round the floor, and we had an enjoyable (if shorter than planned!) time of dancing before drawing to a close at around 11.30pm

Many new faces and new friendships made so thanks to one and all who helped make the day the undoubted success it was
