Gateway House
The construction of the Gateway House, The Grind (pronounced 'grinned' from the Old Norse word for gateway), was completed in 2009.
The Gateway House provides inexpensive rental accommodation for people who would like to leave the 'rat race' behind and have the opportunity to experience life on a remote island. Allowing you to try before you buy. Ideally we are looking for families who are able to find employment (see links page for further guidance) through existing skills and have a desire to become an active part of our community.
