The KDDL season is now into the third week of league action and the Williamson's 'A' League is really starting to open up with the Legion being held to a draw by the Orkney Golf Club. A draw between Sanday and Untouchables was enough for the men from north of the Galt to retain their early lead whilst Exiles had a thumping win over the Bilco Boys.

Tankerness posted a resounding win over Shandy Bass to maintain their 100% start in the 'B' league, with both the Muppets and Murray Arms hot on their heels.

The Davy Cooper Memorial Open Singles took place in the Masonic Club on Saturday, returtning after a three year absence. A very healthy entry of 40 players made for a fantastic tribute to Davy as well as a fun day of darts. The Semi-finals saw Michael Muir defeat Davy Henderson and Kevin Gray beat Stevie Linklater. Kevin had once more been on form all day, recording a 100 average in a quarter final win over Liam Sutherland from Shetland. This form continued into the final which he comfortably won 4-0. Linda Seatter won the Ladies play-off to become the highest ranked Ladies player.

A huge thank you to all who donated to the raffle prizes and contributed to all the fun games. Almost £800 was raised for the Fisherman's Mission and RNLI and, with funs still held from the last time this event was played pre-covid, the KDDL committee will be handing over £850 to each charity.
