The Williamsons Butchers sponsored KDDL season has reached the halfway point and it is still very much a four horse race in the 'A' league. The Untouchables top the table on game difference following a whitewash of the Bilco Boys but were then held to a draw by the Exiles. In second place are the Legion who could only tie with fourth placed Sanday before a hard fought victory over the Bilco Boys. Meanwhile the Orkney Golf Club remain close behind after beating Exiles and then drawing with Sanday, who also recorded a victory over the Bilco Boys in a rescheduled match.

In the 'B' league Tankerness found life tough at the top, being narrowly beaten by Sands whilst Murray Arms moved within a point of them with a win over the Muppets, who are now tied in third place with the Sands. Quoyburray remain just about in contention after victory over Young Loons who are now pretty much out of the running. Shandy Bass continued their revival, winning their third game in a row over the Vikings whilst Shapinsay moved clear of bottom spot with a win over Skippers, who have acquitted themselves well in their debut season so far, and are pushing hard against far more experienced teams every week.

League matches resume on the week beginning Monday 9th January.
