The KDDL season kicked off last week with the Allied Hotels cup for the 'A' league teams and the Untouchables showed their intent to improve on last years third place position by dominating the competition, beating Exiles 'A' 3-0 in the final following a round robin format.

The 'B' league boys had their time to shine the following night and again round robin groups were called for due to the low entries. In a strange evening where all teams ended up on the same number of points after winning and losing one apiece, it was the two teams from the Young Loons who progressed on game difference. Young Loons 'A' proved too much for Young Loons 'B' in the final, running out 4-0 winners.

This Friday sees the first singles competition of the season, the Jimmy Miller Memorial Open, take place in the Legion, which is always a great warm up for the season ahead. Then next week it's the cricket format of darts that comes to the fore, with 'A' and 'B' cups on Monday and Tuesday respectively, then the cricket singles and doubles on the Friday evening.
